Dr. Kate Pickles
BVSc MANZCVS (Veterinary Dentistry) - Senior Veterinarian & Director

Her vision for the clinic is centred on creating a welcoming environment where pets and their people feel genuinely supported at every stage of care.
Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney in 1999. After working in several small-animal clinics in Canberra and in the UK, she found her passion in small animal dentistry. Kate is one of only two Canberra-based Members of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Dentistry and Orofacial Surgery. Her advanced training and expertise allow her to provide a high level of dental care to her patients. Known for her caring approach, Kate is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and ensuring every patient receives thoughtful, individualised care.
When not in the clinic, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, hiking and gardening. She is mum to two black Labradors – Shogle the sweet senior and recently-adopted puppy Duke.
Dr. Gillian Lynch

Gill has undertaken extensive further study in veterinary dermatology and is passionate about helping animals with skin and ear issues to live more comfortable, itch-free lives. She completed her Masters of Veterinary Studies in Small Animal Practice through Murdoch University then pursued her dermatology studies through the University of Liverpool, UK. In 2022 she completed her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Veterinary Dermatology – a huge achievement and testament to her dedication in this field. She is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association and The European Society of Veterinary Dermatology and recently has extended her dermatology services by opening Canberra Veterinary Dermatology!
When not swabbing ears and taking skin samples, Gill enjoys spending time with her family, friends and very sweet Labrador – Ellie.
Dr. Zoe Barcelon

Zoe enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine brings – from guiding first-time pet owners through the early stages of pet parenthood to managing complex medical cases. She has a particular passion for dentistry and is planning to pursue further studies in the coming years. Above all, she values building relationships with pets and their families and being part of their journey through every stage of life. Zoe loves seeing dogs and has a soft spot for working dog breeds, being mum to 2 cheeky senior Labradors – Bailey (the chocolate lab) and Brodie (the black lab).
Outside of work, Zoe loves spending time outdoors travelling, hiking and doing photography, but is equally happy at home reading, making pottery and caring for her indoor plant collection.
Dr. Ari Fong

Ari enjoys all aspects of GP care, working with both dogs and cats and getting to know their quirky personalities. She has an interest in pain management and completed her Certificate in Essentials of Veteirnary Acupuncture with the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies in 2025. Known for her warm and approachable nature, she is Fear-Free Certified and loves building connections with patients whilst making visits to the vet a little less scary and a lot more positive.
When not at work, Ari enjoys the simple pleasures in life: chilling on the couch, sticker books, comfy pyjamas and discovering delicious food.
Dr. Emily Gee

Emily enjoys all aspects of veterinary care including both medicine and surgery but has a particular interest in veterinary behaviour. She loves working up cases and helping uncover the cause behind a pet’s illness. Combining problem-solving with compassionate patient care, Emily enjoys helping pets feel their best and supporting families through treatment plans.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys travelling, reading, baking and spending plenty of time with Ollie her cheeky Curly-Coated Retriever X.
Dr. Simone Rowe

Simone has a special love for all cats (especially the spicy ones) and is passionate about creating positive, low-stress experiences for her feline patients. She is Fear-Free Certified, a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine, and is currently undertaking further distance education studies in feline medicine. She also has a growing interest in ultrasound. Simone is passionate about advocating for animal health and working closely with owners to help their pets live the happiest, healthiest lives possible.
Outside the clinic, Simone enjoys hiking, gardening, arts & crafts and baking. She is mum to her two beloved cats Dorn & Phil (the tripod) who are the absolute loves of her life.
