Ellie
Cert IV – Senior Vet Nurse

Ellie’s favourite part of being a vet nurse is, without question, the animals. She loves that no two days are the same and enjoys helping pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits to the clinic. She has a particular interest in dentistry and animal behaviour.
Outside of work, Ellie enjoys spending quality time with her family, going on walks, exploring new places, and indulging in good food and wine. She is mum to her much-loved mixed breed Labrador X Staffie X Great Dane X Border Collie girl Tess and 2 adorable human girls.
Krystal
Cert IV – Senior Vet Nurse

After initially moving to Australia to NE Victoria, Krystal relocated to Canberra where she has worked across several small animal clinics before spending 5 years in emergency and critical care at the Animal Referral Hospital. She joined the Molonglo Vet team in 2020 bringing with her a wealth of experience and her compassionate approach to patient care. Krystal loves caring for all animals but especially loves cats and feline chronic disease management. When asked what her favour thing about being a vet nurse is, her answer was simple – she couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Outside the clinic, Krystal enjoys gardening, running, and spending time outdoors with her partner and 2 kids. Her family also includes Jess(dog) the scruffy pointy pup, Kitty the Birman and Dirk.
Jess
Cert IV – Senior Vet Nurse

Jess has a particular interest in surgery and anaesthesia and enjoys the technical, hands-on aspects of veterinary nursing. She completed additional studies in anaesthesia and pain management in 2021, and provides a stress-free, welcoming experience for pets coming into the clinic.
When not at work, Jess enjoys creative and artistic pursuits such as drawing and playing the piano. She also loves spending time exploring the outdoors and going for walks.
Cat
Cert IV – Senior Vet Nurse

They worked at several busy small animal clinics before joining the Molonglo Vet team in 2024. They are also currently studying their Bachelor of Veterinary Technology through Charles Sturt University to further their knowledge and skills. Cat enjoys the diversity of veterinary nursing, supporting patients through their medical journeys whilst also providing reassurance and care to their families along the way.
Outside of work, Cat enjoys spending time with their wife and friends, as well as creating and selling at art markets. Cat is kept busy with a full household of animals Goose the Alaskan Malamute, Sampson the grumpy senior cat, Junkrat a cheeky teenage ginger girl, Thespian the shingleback and 3 frogs – Link, Locus and Nonus.
Amy
Cert IV

She has a keen interest in surgical and dentistry nursing but also loves cuddling all the new puppies that come through the clinic, with a soft spot for Dachshunds, Beagles & Cavoodles.
A big part of her life is her sassy, mischievous star Beagle Ace who eats just about everything he shouldn’t. She also enjoys staying active with running and pilates.
Alex
Cert IV

Alex has a strong interest in dermatology and veterinary nutrition and is currently working towards her nutrition certification in 2026. She loves working with small-breed dogs such as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians and enjoys the satisfaction of helping animals recover when they are unwell.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing video games and playing Magic The Gathering. She also has a fascination with and has cared for pet insects, stick bugs, mantises and centipedes.
Kimi
Cert IV

She started her career in North Coast NSW before making the move south to work in Queanbeyan and joining the Molonglo Vet team in 2026. Kimi has a special love for cats of all kinds and enjoys surgical nursing. She is passionate about helping pets and advocating for them when they can’t speak for themselves, to improve their wellbeing.
Kimi enjoys horse riding and creative hobbies such as painting and drawing when not in the clinic. She is also kept busy by her two cats – Cricket & Mia.
Shannon
Cert II – Trainee Vet Nurse

She is excited to continue to learn and grown within the veterinary industry and enjoys expanding her skills in the clinic. Shannon has an interest in emergency and critical care, and dentistry.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending quality time with her family and much-loved pets – Lola the Chihuahua X, Rocky the DLH and Alexander the adorable Mini Lop rabbit.
